Developing a Ministry Partnership with Your Local School (FBISD)

August 17 @ 9:00 am - 11:00 am

| Free

Have you ever wondered how your church can reach your neighborhood? Have you ever wanted a way to engage every member of your congregation to be the church that God has called us to be?

Every community challenge is present in our local schools – poverty, hunger, homelessness – and a school partnership gives every person in your church (from child to retiree) an opportunity to show God’s love to students, families, and school staff in a very real way. By coming alongside your local public school to address these challenges together, you can positively impact the trajectory of children’s lives for generations to come and give your community a better understanding of our good, gracious God.

In partnership with Loving Houston, Fort Bend ISD is hosting a workshop to cast vision for churches partnering with schools in the district and to share about specific opportunities to serve. At the end of the workshop, you’ll be able to set up a one-on-one meeting with the district to find a school whose characteristics and opportunities match your church’s interests and availability to serve.

Pastors, who are the staff and members of your congregation who are best suited to lead your school partnership? Invite them to attend with you to catch the vision!

If every school in Fort Bend ISD had a committed church partner, what a difference that would make in the lives of our children and in our communities. Come see how your church can partner with schools in FBISD!
