Serving in Fort Bend ISD

We love how Fort Bend ISD sees community partnerships as mutually beneficial. Serving a school benefits the school AND the volunteers! Read more about the district’s 2015-2016 Partners here.

There are many ways to serve in Fort Bend ISD.* Volunteers can serve as mentors; each mentor meets with a child for 30-60 minutes each week during the school day. Fort Bend ISD is also very intentional about preparing their students for post-graduation plans and involves volunteers behind-the-scenes or as speakers for Middle School Career Days. Churches can also support FBISD students in need by donating gently used children’s clothing and shoes, new underwear and socks, toiletries, and school supplies to the Shared Dreams Program.

To become a partner, please complete a Partnership Interest Application

*Please note: Before serving, all volunteers must complete a criminal history background application. In addition to this application, all mentors must attend a one-time, one-hour training session
