The Opportunity

EVERY need in our communities exists in our local schools.

By helping churches volunteer in our schools, Loving Houston is bringing the community together to serve alongside educators and parents to address all of these challenges: poverty, hunger, homelessness, family struggles, and more. Teachers, administrators, and parents throughout Greater Houston are working hard to educate and provide for our children — but there’s still work to be done, and EVERY one of us can help.

• Mentors can offer a listening ear.
• Tutors can help with academics.
• Volunteers can help in the teacher workroom.
• Volunteers can equip parents with parenting, financial, and family life skills.
• Families can fill backpacks with food for kids who don’t have food on weekends.
• The church can provide transportation or facilities for school events.
• EVERYONE can pray.

The possibilities are endless! With churches, businesses, schools, and community organizations working together to create a healthy environment of stability and access to resources, all of our children will have the opportunity to flourish.
