Keep in mind that volunteers aren’t coming in to save the school, but rather coming alongside the school in a serving, supportive role. Also, this list is by no means exhaustive. In fact, before even consulting this list, we recommend that church and school leaders discuss what your individual partnership will look like:
What dreams does the school have? What resources and volunteer capabilities does the school itself have? What resources and volunteer capabilities does the church have?
You can also work through a local organization or invite other churches to partner together if opportunities exceed the bandwidth of one church and school (see our School District page and Program page for nonprofit recommendations). At the end of the day, our goal is to demonstrate God’s unconditional love to our local schools, so let’s commit for the long-term and steward these relationships with excellence!
