How churches can help with nutrition and health living:

  • Food Distribution Programs (Lunches of Love, Blessings in a Backpack, Food Bank)
  • After-School and Summer Programs (healthy snacks, opportunities for physical activity)
  • Development of Community Gardens and Local Parks
  • Access to Church Facilities (e.g. playgrounds, gyms)
  • Holiday Programs (food distribution, activities for kids of working parents)
  • Advocate for access to affordable and nutritious restaurants and grocery stores
