“Community involvement is an essential thread in the educational fabric. Education works best when our teachers, administrators, parents, community members and business leaders support each other in our efforts to educate children.” —Pasadena ISD
SERVE IN PASADENA ISD
Volunteers in Pasadena ISD have a variety of options to partner. HOSTS Mentors tutor elementary students in reading and math. Communities in Schools volunteers mentor intermediate students. Pasadena ISD is also committed to helping students think about future education and career plans; volunteers interested in helping students with thinking about future plans can serve as GEAR UP mentors, Junior Achievement Volunteers, or Speaker’s Bureau members. Volunteers can also help with a variety of tasks in the library, clinic, or classroom. Donations of time, resources, and money are also always welcome.
